IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Evelyn
Perreault
June 4, 1947 – August 11, 2023
FORT KENT – Evelyn Perreault, our dearest sister, wife, mom, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 11, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. She was the best homemaker, cook and Baker. She was loved by so many as we have witnessed over the past few days. She was always there to help whomever she could. She worked many years doing housekeeping then decided to work her first full-time job at LaVerdiere's where she worked her way up to Assistant Manager. Later she changed paths and went to work for her sister Rena Mae at the lodge. After feeling something was missing, she made the decision to finish high school and earned her GED. By now she had two grandchildren whom she adored and wanted to spend time with, so she and her husband Don would travel up and down the state to pick them up and take them home to visit. She is predeceased by her mom and dad Juliet and Adrian Ouellette, sister-in-law Jeanette Ouellette, brother-in-law Delsie (Dike) Corriveau, and brother-in-law Vinal Haynes. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Donald; her wonderful children David, Tracy and wife Diane, Steven and wife Carol, and precious baby girl Tammy; her beautiful and loved grandchildren Chad and wife Deborah Perreault, Brooke Goff-Perreault and grand dog Lulu; siblings Roger Ouellette, Roderick (Whitey) and wife Sue, Charlene Corriveau, Jacqueline Haynes, Martine and husband Roger Bard, Rena Mae and husband Joel Guimond, Joan and husband Tony Voisine, Joyce Labbe, Eugene Ouellette, and Ronald (John) and wife Jean; her special sister and brother in-law Marcella and Ricky Perreault; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Evelyn will be missed fiercely by family and friends, but she would want us to find our own peace and comfort with each other. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the St. Louis Church. There will be no visiting hours. Reception to follow at Track Down Kennel and Lodge in Wallagrass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund c/o Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main Street, Fort Kent, ME 04743. The family would like to thank all of the hands-on caregivers who were so kind and gentle with Evelyn at NMMC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
