Eagle Lake --- Fernand Simard, 92, passed away on November 26, 2019 at an Eagle Lake Health Care Facility. He was born on August 23, 1927, son of the late Eddie and Yvonne (Dube) Simard. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence Simard of Eagle Lake; three children, Glenna Simard and her companion Ken Roy of Plaisted, Bruce Simard and his wife Gerta of Tennessee, and Nelson Simard and his wife Beatrice of Charleston; two grandchildren; Rocky and Cassandra; five great-grandchildren, two siblings, Rolande Blanchette, and Karey Simard. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Thelma Simard; four siblings, Babe, Lucien and Norman Simard and Fern Palmer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the St. Marys Church in Eagle Lake. Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 8:30 – 9:30am, the morning of the service. A Spring Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery.
