Madawaska---Florence C. Carpenter, 83, passed away on June 22, 2017 at a Bangor health care facility.  She was born in St. Basile, New Brunswick on October 26, 1933, daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Lagace) Bouchard.  She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.  She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends.  She helped people whenever she could.  Flo is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-six years, Ronald Carpenter of Madawaska; one son, Raymond Duerrler and his companion Rolande Godin of St. Basile, New Brunswick; one grand-daughter, Alexandra Durlur of Ottawa; many nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  There will be no visiting hours.  Interment will take place in the Caribou Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 383 US Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.  For online condolences, please visit www.lajoiefuneralhome.com
