Obituary

St. Agatha/Fort Kent—Florence (Deschaine-Bouchard) Pelletier, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 31, 2021, in the comfort of her home.  She was born on September 11, 1943, daughter of the late Emile H. and Edwina (LeBlanc) Deschaine.  She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Florence is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Clarence Pelletier; her four children, Lisa (Bouchard) Verner and her husband Jim of Massachusetts, Michael Bouchard and his wife Marian of Fort Kent, Daniel Bouchard and his wife Eileen of St. Agatha, and Kelly (Bouchard) Bilinsky and her husband Michael of Massachusetts; two-step daughters, Carol Marchand and her partner Joe Oliveira of Ontario, Connie Pelletier of California; ten grandchildren, Jack Verner and his wife Kerry, Jamie Verner, Jason Bouchard, Adam Bouchard and his wife Michelle, Curtis Bouchard and his wife Veronica, Travis Nadeau, Spencer Nadeau and his wife Emily, Jacob Bilinsky, Martine Marchand, and Anik Marchand ­­­and her husband Luis­­; three great-grandchildren; Jack, ­­­Eleanor and Madelyn; two brothers, Reno Deschaine and his wife Ann of Oakland, Nelson Deschaine and his wife Kathy of Massachusetts; one sister, Doris Staples of Fort Kent; three brothers-in-law, Royden Paradis, Richard Bourgoin and Donald Libby; along with many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Florence is predeceased by one brother, Reginald Deschaine; four sisters, Jeannette Bourgoin, Bernadette Libby, Leonette Gendreau and Cecile Paradis; two brothers in-law, Roland Gendreau, and Russell Staples; one sister-in-law, Carol Deschaine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 10am.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Florence's honor to Northern Light Home Care & Hospice c/o Home Care & Hospice Greatest Needs-Aroostook County, P.O. Box 679, Portland, ME  04104 and/or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
