Madawaska--- Florence Towers, 60, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2020 at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born in Edmundston, on May 7, 1959, the daughter of the late Henry and Germaine (Castonguay) Michaud. She dedicated herself to her work for all her life. She worked as a CNA for many years at Highview and Gorham House.  Florence is survived by her three children, Kelly Michaud and her husband Joey Gagnon of St. Hilaire, N.B., Shawn Michaud and his wife Amy Fitzgerald of Portland, and Andrew Michaud of Fort Kent; Her loving companion, Chanel Cyr of Madawaska; four sisters, Marie Mai Bosse and her husband Gerald of Edmundston, Claudette Michaud of Madawaska, Michelle Russel and her husband Robert of Madawaska, Pauline Boucher and her husband Rival Boucher of Edmundston; two brothers, Paul Michaud and his wife Nancy, and Clement Michaud and his wife Laurie Ann all of Madawaska; seven grandchildren, Harley, Evan, Emma, Mylee, Ryan, Shawn Jr. and Owen.  Graveside service will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Fort Fairfield, Maine.  Arrangements have been entrusted at Lajoie Funeral Home.
