Pelletier
November 23, 1951 – March 17, 2025
Fort Kent--- Gaston P. Pelletier, 73, passed away March 17, 2025 at Northern Maine Medical Center, Fort Kent. He was born November 23, 1951, in Edmundston, NB, Canada, a son of the late Pea and Aline (Michaud) Pelletier.
He last worked for AMHC in Fort Kent for several years as a counselor. Previously he was a CNA at Northern Maine Medical Center and various area nursing homes while completing his education at University of Maine-Fort Kent. Gaston was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, Third Degree, and a member of the Third Order Franciscans. He was also a volunteer at Channel 4, Fort Kent, and assisted in much of the programming. He was an avid woodworker and created many masterpieces to display in his home or complete many home repairs. Gaston was proud to be his parish's sacristan at his former church, St. Joseph Church, Meriden, CT, where he assisted in refinishing much of the church furnishings and statuary.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Roberta (Jones) Pelletier of Fort Kent; three children, Rodney Pelletier and his wife Beth of Ohio, Celeste Wise and her companion Randy Benbenek of New York, and Michael Pelletier and his wife Macy of Bangor; one sister, Francine Pelletier; four brothers, Rejean, Gilles and his wife Vicky, Charles and his wife Pauline, Alain and his wife Iris, and Luc Pelletier and his wife Louise; five grandchildren, Emilie, Allison, Luke, Abigail, and Joseph; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gaston was predeceased by two brothers, Valmont and Donald Pelletier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. Louis Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Sunday evening 6-8:00 PM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
