Madawaska---George "Martin" Ringuette, 76, passed away June 14, 2011 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on August, 19, 1934, the son of the late Alphy and Angelina (Cimon) Ringuette. Martin was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Thomas O. Cyr, Post 147 and Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council # 2638 also of Madawaska. He was also a member of the V.F.W. of Fort Kent. He worked for forty two years at Fraser Papers until his retirement in 1996. Martin was a happy-go-lucky guy who loved to laugh and was always ready for any activity. He was a jack of all trades and fixed many things around the house. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty five years, Claudette (Cloutier) Ringuette; one daughter, Denise Beaulieu and her husband Dale of Madawaska; one son, John Ringuette and his wife Carole of Madawaska; three grandchildren, Brittany Cyr, Megan and Brandon Ringuette all of Madawaska; two sisters, Jackie Violette of Madawaska, and Pierrette Peterson and her husband Mark of St. Agatha; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, June 17 at St. Thomas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday and from 9am until time of service on Friday. Interment will immediately follow at the parish cemetery.
