Madawaska---Gerald Albert, 64, passed away on September 7, 2021 at a Fort Kent health care facility.  He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on October 10, 1956, son of the late Edgar and Grace (Fournier) Albert.  Gerald graduated from Madawaska High School and joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany.  After the service, he attended UMASS Boston for a year before returning home.  He worked for Albert Farms as a trucker for sixteen years before starting his own trucking company, Albert Trucking.  In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking on the grill, playing cards, and spending time at the family camp on Long Lake.  He is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Mary (Bender) Albert of Madawaska; two sons, Jason Albert of Virginia and Sean Albert of Madawaska; one daughter, Jenna Albert of Waterville; two sisters, Paula Lizotte of Madawaska and Carol Ann Cochrane of California; one brother, Roger Albert of Madawaska.  Gerald was predeceased by his sister, Gloria McCann.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the St. Thomas Church.  There will be no visitation or receiving line.  Due to the current pandemic, please practice covid precautions.
