St. David --- Gerald (Pit) Cote age 73, of Saint David, Maine passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 2, 2021.  He was born on September 23, 1947.  Pit was a kind, big hearted, generous father and friend to many.  Pit is predeceased by his father, Alphie Cote, his daughter, Gina, and his brother, John.  He is survived by his mother Cecile Cote, his two sons, Glenn Cote of Edmundston NB and wife Nathalie, Greg Cote of Alexander, ME and his wife Denise; his long-life partner, Diane Beaulieu of Madawaska, ME and her two daughters and grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Dube (Lucien-Piton), Ida Pelletier (Jacques), Irene Fortin (Nelson), Joyce Ouellette (Louis Landry), Lisa Chamberland (Dennis), and Tina Rivera (Victor); Brothers, Paul Cote, Roger Cote and many nephews and nieces. Pit graduated from Madawaska high school in 1966.  Pit was a lifetime farmer who enjoyed farming and gardening.  Working for himself, other farmers, and still worked part time at Pelletier Farms of Frenchville, ME.  Pit was a hard to follow, he was a workaholic committed to growing and harvesting the fruits of his labor.  Pit loved to brag about his garden, always being the first person to harvest cucumbers, string beans, etc., which he gave away all the time.  He loved his fried foods and sweets, with two fryers on the counter and a pantry full of sugar and snacks, God was generous to leave him with us this long.  He will be greatly missed, may he rest in peace. Due to the current pandemic a funeral service will be held privately by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
