Madawaska---Gerald N. Hebert, 80, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2010 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on May 8, 1930, the son of Oneil Hebert and Jeanne (Daigle) Ouellette, and step-son of Raoul Ouellette. Gerald is survived by four daughters, Joyce Hebert, Eileen Chasse and her husband Roger all of St. Agatha, Sharon Williams and her husband Mike of Madawaska, Karen Hebert and her fiancé Ken Daigle of St. David; three sons, Kenneth Hebert and his companion Corinne Viel of Edmundston, Gregory Hebert and his wife Lisa of Frenchville, Brian Hebert and his wife Susan also of Frenchville; eleven grandchildren, Glenn Hawkins, Julie and Andrea Chasse, Kayla and Ashley Williams, Heather and Amber Hebert, Bruce Hebert, Travis Hebert, Steven Hebert, and Tina Boucher; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Collin Hawkins, Samantha, Emily, Valerie, and Christopher Boucher; three step-sisters, Aline Pelletier, Juliette Pelletier, and Yvette Michaud; two step-brothers, Roger Ouellette and Robert Ouellette. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife, Rena Bouchard, in June of 2003 and by a grandson, Shawn Hawkins in December of 2000. A Word and Communion will be held 10am on Monday, June 14 at St. Thomas Aquinas church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Sunday and from 9am until time of service on Monday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery immediately following the service.
