Van Buren--- Gerald J. Morrow, 78, died Friday, September 27, 2019, at a Caribou hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 31, 1940 in Hamlin, a son of the late James and Memery (Cyr) Morrow.

Gerald enlisted with the US Army during Vietnam and served in Germany. Following his enlistment, he returned home where he worked at Dead River Co. for over 40 years as an oil burner technician. He was a long-time member of the American Legion, Post #49, Van Buren, and was a member and past president of the Van Buren Pine Runners ATV Club. He was an avid ATV rider and spent many days roaming the trails and potato fields, collecting potatoes and picking apples. He cherished his family visiting and entertaining friends.

He is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Diane (Michaud) Morrow of Van Buren; one son, Daniel Morrow of Presque Isle; two sisters, Irene Levesque of Van Buren and Joan Thibodeau of Grand Falls, NB, Canada; two granddaughters, Megan & Tiffany; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by several siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Keeping with Gerald's wishes, there will be no calling hours, but friends may greet the family 9-9:45AM at the church. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
