MADAWASKA—Geraldine (Juliette Levesque) Desjardins, 83, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2018 at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on January 29, 1935, daughter of Albert and Yvonne (Rossignol) Levesque. Juliette enjoyed gardening, knitting with her friends, and going to dinners with her friends. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Juliette is survived by her children, Ann Michaud of Madawaska, Paul Desjardins and his wife Ginette of Madawaska, John Desjardins and his wife Diane of Lakeland, TN; five grandchildren, Steve Michaud of Bradford, MA, Chris Desjardins of Gray, ME, Ashley Chamberland of Madawaska, Brianna and Matthew Desjardins of Lakeland, TN; 4 great grandchildren, Eli and James Michaud, and Anna Claire and Thomas Desjardins. Juliette was predeceased by her daughter, Julie Desjardins. It is comforting to know that she is at peace with her parents, Albert and Yvonne Levesque, and her 13 siblings who predeceased her, Reno Levesque, Jeanne Rice, Rodolphe Levesque, Anita Slack, Leonide Levesque, Prime Levesque, Claudia Violette, Lorraine Thibodeau, Adeline Cadieux, Auguste Levesque, Therese Wortman, Paul Levesque and Rina Connelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska from 9am until 9:45am on Thursday before the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St John Valley Associates in memory of Julie Desjardins.
