Obituary

DAVID – Gerard J. Beaulieu, 72, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 28, 1943, in Madawaska, the son of the late Henry and Delia (Lagasse) Beaulieu.

Gerard worked at Fraser Papers in Madawaska for 28 years, many of those years as Union President.  Gerard's passion was writing songs, singing and playing his guitars, especially when he had a chance to do it with his best friends, Jerry Thibeault and Joe LaChance.


He is survived by four children, Cheryl Beaulieu and her significant other, Denis, of Madawaska; Gerry Beaulieu and his wife, Jennie, of Sinclair; Gregg Beaulieu and his wife, Crystal, of Frenchville; and Tara Cyr and her husband, Nicholas, of Frenchville; four special grandchildren, Madisyn, Ellie and Brayden Cyr and Max Beaulieu; eight sisters, Pauline Picard, Verna Desjardins, Charlene Roy, Irene Ouellette, Mona Russell, Joan Dube, Cecilia Dube and Diane Cyr; two brothers, Larry Beaulieu and Donald Beaulieu; mother-in-law, Jeannine Albert; two sisters-in-law, Susan Fleckenstein and Donna Williamson; one brother-in-law, Marc Albert, and many nieces and nephews. Gerard was predeceased by his loving wife, Kathleen (Albert) Beaulieu; one sister, Florence Roy; two sisters-in-law, Anita Lomax and Phyllis Snowman and his father-in-law, Roger Albert.
