St. David --- Gerard Ouellette, 74, passed away on June 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born in St. David on July 24, 1943, son of the late Ulric and Antoinette (Dufour) Ouellette. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and being outdoors. He will always be remembered for having a big heart and always willing to help anyone in need. Gerard owned and operated Rocky Beach Farms until his retirement. Gerard is survived by his loving wife Adrienne of 52 years; one son Gary Ouellette of Frenchville; one granddaughter Samiah Ouellette of Connecticut; five siblings, Ronald Ouellette and his wife Joan of St. David, Riola Morin of St. David, Theresa Morin and her husband Mauril of Connecticut, Joel Ouellette and his wife Ginette of St. David, Gerald Ouellette and his wife Grace of Madawaska; and many nieces and nephews. Gerard is predeceased by one sister, Bernice Lapointe; and two brothers-in-law Bernard Lapointe and Adrien Morin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the St. Thomas Church in Madawaska. Family and Friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska from 6-8pm on Sunday, June 10 and from 9-9:45 on Monday June 11, 2018 the morning before the service.
