Obituary

Madawaska---Gerard J. Paradis, 89, passed away on May 2, 2016 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Frenchville on May 3, 1926, son of the late Willie and Yvonne (Theriault) Paradis. He is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Paradis and her husband Richard of Fort kent; four sons, Gerald Paradis and his wife Denise of Litchfield, Roger Paradis and his wife Joyce of Madawaska, Roland Paradis of St. Agatha, Robert Paradis and his wife Shirley of Auburn; eleven grandchildren, Ricky, Mark, Steve, Jerry, Donald, Tina, Johnny, Roger, Stacie, Jennifer, and Shawn; fifteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Leona Landry of Madawaska, Gloria Gagnon and her husband Armand of St. Agatha, Alphena Savoie and her husband Wilfred of Edmundston; one brother, Clifford Paradis of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. Gerard was predeceased by one sister, Bernice Dionne; two brothers, Romeo Paradis and Reginald Paradis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, May 14 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Interment will be held immediately following the service at the Parish Cemetery in Madawaska.
