St. David---Gertrude "Gertie" (Levesque) Lizotte, 99, died at a health care facility in Madawaska on Feb 29, 2012. She was born in Grand Isle on Dec. 1, 1912, the daughter of Thaddie and Elise [Cyr] Levesque. She was predeceased by her husband Albert and six of her children. Angela, Sylvia, Oneil, Rolande, Archie, and Marie Mae. Survived by one son Raymond Lizotte of Madawaska and 14 Grand children. Kim in Scarborough, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. Gertie loved to keep busy always helping others. She especially loved all her grandchildren and the great great gandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her son and all her extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Saturday, March 3 at the St. David church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 8am until time of service on Saturday. Spring interment will be held in the St. Luce Cemetery in Frenchville.
