Madawaska --- Gertrude McHenry, 91, passed away on November 20, 2019 at a Madawaska Health Care Facility. She was born in Cabano, PQ, Canada on April 8, 1928, daughter of the late Levite and Blanche (Breton) Violette. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Grivois of St. David; two grandsons, Kevin Grivois of Arizona, and Gary Grivois of Madawaska; she is predeceased by her beloved husband, George McHenry and; five siblings, Rene Violette, Therese Dumas, Raymonde Morin, Lucille D'Amours, and Cecile Violette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the St. Thomas Church in Madawaska. Family and Friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9-9:45am the morning of the service. A Spring Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
