Fort Kent --- Gilbert LeClair, 63, passed away on August 15, 2019 at a Boston Healthcare facility. He was born in Fort Kent on September 25, 1955, son of the late Philip and Mary Jane (Ouellette) LeClair. Gilbert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a man of few words and was known for having a big heart. He is survived by his six siblings, Laurina Bouchard and her husband Larry, Clifford LeClair Sr. and his wife Linda all of Madawaska, Ron LeClair, Don LeClair, Jerry LeClair all of Fort Kent and Joan LeClair of New Hampshire; one Uncle, Omar Buttler; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved in-laws. He is predeceased by four siblings, Clarence, Philip Jr., and Richard LeClair and Nancy Albert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. In keeping with Gilbert's wishes there will be no calling hours. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery immediately following the service.
