She is also survived by three siblings, Georgette Marquis of Fort Kent, ME, Jack Neveu of Sept Isle, Canada, and Fernand Neveu of Edmundston, Canada, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a son Patrick Nelson, a son-in-law Thomas Alaimo, a brother Zephir Neveu and two sisters, Jeanette Michaud, and Claudette Byram. The family would especially like to thank Gilberte's care giver Aileen for her kind and compassionate care.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, July 17, 2023, at St. Louis Church.  Interment will be held immediately following the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wallagrass.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd.
