Madawaska---Gilford Michaud, 77, passed away on October 31, 2013 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on November 6, 1935, son of the late Ernest and Delia (Ringuette) Michaud. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed four wheeling. A simple man and it didn't take much to please him. He was also known as "Mr. fix it" and could fix just about anything. He also enjoyed making people laugh with his big sense of humor. Gilford is survived by one daughter, Susan Martin and her husband Ralph of Plainville, CT; three sons, Glen Michaud and his wife Susan of Portland, Gary Michaud and his wife Lisa of Frenchville, Kevin Michaud and his wife Trisha of Grand Isle; six grandchildren, Eric and Heidi Martin, Zachary, Deliya, Tyra, Jocelyn Michaud; one great grandson, Caleb Martin; one sister, Rolande Campagna and her husband Raoul of St. David; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Claudette Plourde Michaud in 2001; four brothers, Norman Gervais, Fernand Gervais, Levite Gervais, Wilford Michaud. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Monday, November 4 and from 12pm until 12:45pm on Tuesday. Interment will be held at a later date
