Madawaska---Gilman J. Cyr, 64, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2013 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born in St. David on April 15, 1949, son of the late Levite and Annette (Lagasse) Cyr. He is survived by his son, Eric Daigle of Quebec; one step-daughter, Sonia Daigle also of Quebec; two sisters, Joan Ayotte and her husband Richard, Martha Soucie and her husband Malcolm all of Connecticut; five brothers, Bert of Connecticut, Lionel and his wife Norma of Madawaska, Roland and his wife Therese of Madawaska, Don and his wife Denise of Edmundston, Ronnie of Old Orchard Beach; several nieces and nephews. Gilman was predeceased by one sister, Theresa Plourde; one brother, Fernand Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the St. David Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until time of service on Thursday. Interment will be held at a later date at the Caribou Veteran's Cemetery.
