Madawaska/Grand Isle---Gilmay Deschaine, 83, passed away on April 4, 2014 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in Madawaska on October 14, 1930, daughter of the late Jean Baptist and Delphin (Lagasse) Cyr. Gilmay is survived by one daughter, Ann Perkins and her husband John of Amesbury, MA; one son, Vanier Deschaine and his wife Duska of Laconia, NH; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, and Jessica Perkins all of Amesbury, MA; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vanier Deschaine, Sr.; one brother, Gilbert Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9am until 10:30am on Tuesday before the service.
