Madawaska---Gilmay Theriault, 92, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, at Frenchville health care facility. She was born in Madawaska on October 16, 1930, daughter of the late Donat and Egline (Bouchard) Pelletier. Gilmay was very active with the American Legion and volunteered many years with Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Madawaska. Gilmay worked several years as a cafeteria worker at Madawaska High School. She attended night school and obtained her degree as a CNA which she utilized at Highview Manor for many years. She always had a positive outlook in life, and always a smile. Her family and Faith were important to her. Gilmay was predeceased by her husband, John V. Theriault; three sisters, Germaine Cyr, Marie Mae Chamberland, and Jeanne Gagnon; one brother, Alby Pelletier. She leaves behind three daughters, Arlene Chamberland and her husband Bob of Auburn, Carlene Parent and her husband John of Auburn, Kathy Ringuette and her companion, Claude Hebert of Presque-Isle; two sons, George Theriault and his wife Lynn of St. David, and Roger Theriault of Farmington, CT; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Jeannette Morneault and her husband Armand, Joan Ouellette and her husband Bob; four brothers, Gilbert Pelletier and his wife Leola, Clifford Pelletier, Paul Emile Pelletier and his wife Lauria, and Ronald "Joe" Pelletier. A Graveside Service will be held 10am on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the St. David Cemetery.
