Van Buren--- Ginette Martin, 75, passed away peacefully March 25, 2022, at a Bangor hospital, with her loving family at her side. Born June 16, 1946 in Edmundston, NB, Canada, she was a daughter of Annette (Sirois) Lang and the late Joel Lang.

Ginette owned former Ginette's Fabrics & Window Treatments, Van Buren, over ten years. Her nimble fingers, sewing and designing abilities were well known throughout St. John Valley and beyond as she created many remarkable wedding gowns, square dancing dresses and figure skating outfits, as well as assisting her community with many clothing alterations throughout her years. Skilled in using any fabric, she expanded her craft to adorning many area homes with her beautiful drapes and window dressings, which she continued many years after she closed her retail store. Ginette was member of the Columbiettes and a parishioner of St. Bruno-St. Remi Church. She loved to travel with her husband. Ginette cherished visiting and making beautiful memories with her children and grandchildren, and vacationing in Old Orchard Beach

She is survived by her devoted husband of over 53 years, Phil Martin of Van Buren; two children, Peter Martin and his wife Gretchen of Kennebunk and Lynn Butler and her husband John of Lisbon Falls; her mother of Degelis, QC; four grandchildren, Ian, Lilly, and twins, Isabella & Nathalie; nine siblings, Nicole Ouellette of Baker Brook, NB, Jocelyne Nadeau of Cabano, QC, Guy Lang and Yolande Beauregard, both of Quebec, QC, Denise Ouellette of St. Marc du Lac Long, QC, Michel Lang of Clair, NB, Linda Ouellette and Andre Lang, both of Edmundston, NB, and Johanne Beauregard of Packington, QC; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Ginette was predeceased by a brother, Jeannot Lang.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Ginnette's birthday and engagement anniversary, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday morning 9 am until the time of Mass at the church. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
