Madawaska --- Gladys Deprey, 91, passed away on November 8, 2019 at a Madawaska Health Care Facility. She was born in Soldier Pond on April 15, 1928, daughter of the late Alfred and Madeline (Theriault) Deprey. Gladys was raised in Madawaska where she attended school. She later worked for the Northern National Bank where she would retire after 40 dedicated years. Gladys cherished the love and life of a large, closely related family. She spent her retirement years caring for her Mother. She enjoyed her summer home at Long Lake as well as her time at "La Maison Acadienne." She was an active communicant of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska.  She is survived by her three brothers, Reno and his wife Becky of Alaska, Elmer Deprey and his wife Irene of British Columbia, Canada, and Gene Deprey and his wife Edna of Madawaka, along with many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Gladys is predeceased by her two sisters, Mildred Bouchard and Ella Deprey; and four brothers, Elude, Alyre, Milford, and Alfred Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 Am on Thurdsay, November 14, 2019 at the St. Thomas Church in Madawaska. Family and friends may call from 9-9:45 at the church, the morning of the service.
