Van Buren--- Gladys C. Ouellette Pelletier, 96, peacefully entered into Eternal Life on October 10, 2024, at Aroostook House of Comfort, with her family at her side. She was born June 17, 1928, in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Fred and Theresa (Levesque) Jacques.

Gladys was a proud farmer's wife and loved being able to raise her large family. She also worked over 17 years with Van Buren High School in the cafeteria. Gladys always busied her hands with her many crafts and knitted many baby blankets over the years. Much of her family cherishes the many ceramic nick knacks and crocheted items she's gifted through the years. She also loved tending to flowers.

She is survived by seven children, Tanya Pennington, Daniel Ouellette, Darylin Tardif, Nadine (Marty) Cyr, Charlene (Bob) Cormier, Kevin (Donna) Ouellette, and Tim (Patsy) Ouellette; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Ouellette, in 1975, her second husband, Lionel Pelletier, in 2005, one son, Gene Ouellette, a granddaughter, Tracie Tardif, and two brothers, Eddie and Leon Jacques.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren. Calling hours will be private. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glady's name may be made to Aroostook House of Comfort, PO Box 867, Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
