Madawaska---Gloria (Morneault) Roussel, 99, passed away on January 26, 2021 at a Frenchville health care facility.  She was born in Baker Brook, New Brunswick on January 20, 1922, daughter of the late Denis and Lea (Banville) Morneault.  Gloria was a hard worker her entire life, always ready and willing to help others.  Wearing out many Rosaries, she lived every day of her life in accordance with her undeniable Catholic Faith, always caring for others, and never asking for anything in return.  She was a quiet soul who loved laughter, music, dancing, knitting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, sports, especially baseball and hockey.  Her family meant everything to her, and she continued to give gems of wisdom until the end.  She is survived by two children, Gladys Miranda of Madawaska and O'neil Patrick of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Gina of Madawaska, Sheryl, and Neil of Connecticut; five great grandchildren, Christopher and Nicolette of Madawaska, Wayne, Jr., Scarlett, and Isabella of Connecticut; one sister, Rita Ouellette of Edmundston, New Brunswick; many nieces and nephews; two God children, Rachel and Claudette.  She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Pea; brothers, Camille, and Patrick; sisters, Annie, Jeanne, Marthe, Yvette, and Bertha; all her in-laws.  The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Joseph Memory Care Center for her care.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to Notre Dame Du Mont Carmel Parish, 309 St. Thomas St., Suite 103, Madawaska, ME 04756.  Due to the current pandemic, funeral services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
