St. David--- Grace Albert, 91, gracefully entered into rest August 18, 2019 in California, following a short period of ill health. She was born in Edmundston, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel (Carroll) Fournier.

She last worked as a substitute teacher at Madawaska High School and was an artist and art teaching in the area. Previously she was a manager of her husband's store, Edgar's TV, Madawaska, where she taught her art classes and displayed much of her art. She was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of Isabella. Grace and her husband cherished their family and their many visits to their "Heaven of Earth," the camp on Long Lake.

She is survived by: four children, Roger C. Albert, Paula Lizotte, and Gerald Albert and his wife Mary, all of Madawaska, and Carol Ann Cochrane and her husband Jeff of Fairfield, CA; many siblings spread throughout Canada; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Edgar L. Albert, a daughter Gloria McCann, both passing in 2017, and several siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 9-9:45 AM at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska.
