Van Buren--- Gregory P. Carbonneau, 52, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, April 3, 2018. He was born June 18, 1965 in Van Buren, a son of the late Adrien and Lucille (Sirois) Carbonneau.
Greg dedicated almost 20 years to Loring Job Corps, Limestone, in the maintenance and custodial departments. Previously he worked with former Van Buren Irving as a gas station attendant for several years. Greg loved his Van Buren community and was a councilman of the town council. He was a die-hard New York Yankees fan, enjoyed spending time with his visiting family, and especially entertaining his cherished nieces.
He is survived by: six siblings, Michael Carbonneau of Van Buren, Thomas Carbonneau of Pennsylvania, Robert Carbonneau and his wife Sandy of Florida, Edwina Morris and her husband Cyrus of Caribou, Helen Carbonneau of Saco, and Bill Carbonneau and his wife France of St. Andre, NB, Canada; two nieces, Sara Carbonneau of Oregon and Mindy Carbonneau and her long-time companion Matthew Ruest of Canada; a great niece, Abbrielle Ruest; and his beloved dog, Teddy.
Besides his parents, Greg was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel Carbonneau in 1945 and Peter Carbonneau in 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday 6-8:00 PM and Tuesday 9-10:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. Spring interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery.
