Madawaska---Greta M. Collin, 75, Maine passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 16, 2016 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was born February 23, 1941 to Sylvio and Jeannette Thibeault of St. Agatha, Maine. She was the beloved wife of Roger Collin of 55 years and mother of three sons, Douglas of Madawaska, Dean and wife Janice of Madawaska, and Dwayne William of Washington, DC. Four grandchildren, Kortney, Emily, Chanelle, and Grace. Greta was the second of fourteen children and predeceased by one sister Linda. She leaves behind her loving siblings: sisters; Jenny and husband Eldon Bouchard, Rowena Cyr, Carlene and husband Paul Cyr, Norma and husband Bob Pratt, brothers; Aldon and wife Rita, Gaylen and wife Sally Thibeault, Ron and wife Louise Thibeault, Russel and wife Linda Thibeault, Edward and wife Mary Thibeault, James and wife Pat Thibeault, Brian and wife Brenda Thibeault, Glenn and wife Lisa Thibeault

Greta along with Roger successfully owned and operated an interior decorating business in Madawaska for nearly 30 years. She was an active member of the community selflessly donating her time to the Optimist Club and Daughters of Isabella (member for 53 years) amongst others. She always welcomed and greeted everyone with a friendly smile and her hospitality was second to none. She extended that loving hospitality to her new friends in Florida where she spent the last 16 winters. All who were fortunate enough to have known her loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday.  There will be no visiting hours before the service on Friday.
