Van Buren---Guy C. Lebel, 85, passed away January 8, 2023, at a Van Buren health care facility.  He was born in Van Buren on August 26, 1937, son of the late Leon G. and Corinne (Parent) Lebel.  He graduated as Valedictorian from the Van Buren Boys High School in 1955 and attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  Guy was a communicant of St. Bruno/St. Remi Church in Van Buren.  He is survived by one brother, Omer Lebel and his wife Bobbie of Van Buren; two sisters, Jeannette Parsons and Cecile Lebel, both of Van Buren; seven nieces and nephews, Jana, David, Mark, Brian, Lisa, Michael, Janelle.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on June 16, 2023, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Church in Van Buren.  Interment will be held at the St. Bruno Cemetery immediately after the Mass.    Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
