St. Francis --- Harold "Babe" Albert, 83, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2019. He was born in St. Francis, ME on April 21, 1935, son of Wallie and Mabel (Ouellette) Albert. Babe was employed by Great Northern Paper Company as a Chief Scaler. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed life in it's natural state at his camp on Eagle Lake. He loved sitting on the porch talking with family and friends, cooking for a crowd, listening to old country songs and fishing off the wharf. If there was a good joke to be told, Babe would listen intently, and his laugh was infectious. Wherever he went there was always a dog by his side who held a special place in his heart. Babe leaves behind two children, Joni (Albert) Daigle and her husband Eric of New Canada, ME, Jimmie Albert of Harrison, ME and friend Patty O'Leary of CT, and his ex-daughter-in-law Kathy Albert. He was "Daddy Babe" to five treasured grandchildren, Stephanie Bierschwale and her husband Danny, Pat-Rick Daigle, Melissa Bennett and her husband Isaiah, Rochelle Albert, and Jacob Albert. Three great-grandchildren, Finley, Mabel, and Briar. One sister Theresa Albert. His family was his pride and joy. As he ventures on high, he will be joining his beloved wife, Patricia (Nadeau) Albert of nearly sixty years who he adored, his parents, and brothers Roy and Dick. In keeping with Harold's wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at the St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis. Interment will be held in the spring in the St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Harold's memory may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 470 Forest Avenue, Suite 302, Portland, ME 04101. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
