Madawaska---Hazel A. North-Blalock, 61, passed away at her residence in Madawaska on February 6, 2017.  She was born in New York on September 12, 1955, daughter of the late Harry William and Fransies (Papineau) North. She was a member of the St. John/St. Paul Anglican Church in Edmundston, NB.   Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Blalock of Madawaska and Kelly Blalock of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren, Connor, Cody, Bailei, and Lillian; her 3 beloved dogs, Zoey, Maija, Luca.  She was predeceased by her brother Donnie North.  A Memorial Service will be held 11am on February 20, 2017 at the St. John/St. Paul Church in Edmundston, NB.  Interment will be held at a later date in New York State.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Hazel's memory may be made to the family to assist in offsetting funeral expenses.
