Helen M. Carbonneau

Saco and Van Buren---Helen M. Carbonneau, 68, passed away September 23, 2026 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on August 12, 1958 in Fort Kent, the daughter of Adrien and Lucille (Sirois) Carbonneau. She graduated from Van Buren High School and received her BA degree from Tulane University at New Orleans, LA.

Helen worked many years as a community care worker for the Office of Child and Family Service with the State of Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

She is survived by two brothers, Robert Carbonneau and his wife Sandy of Pensacola, FL, and Bill Carbonneau and his wife France of Grand Falls, NB, Canada; a sister Edwina Morris of Caribou; and nieces, Mindy Carbonneau and Sara Prahara.

She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, infant Daniel, Michael, Thomas, Peter, and Greg Carbonneau; and brother-in-law, Cyrus Morris.
