Fort Kent--- Ida M. Daigle, 93, peacefully entered into Eternal Life and into the waiting arms of her beloved husband on July 4, 2023. She was born April 29, 1930 in Connors, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Rene and Marie (Dominique) Pelletier.

She worked over 30 years as a cook in the cafeteria of University of Maine – Fort Kent, where she cherished the many relationships she had with faculty and students. Ida was a life member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Columbiettes, and the VFW Auxiliary, Fort Kent.

She is survived by three children, George Pelletier and his wife Rita of Fort Fairfield, Robert Daigle of Wallagrass, and Amy Daigle-Nash and her husband Eric of Bristol, CT; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Ida was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Albert Daigle, in 2011, a son Michael Daigle in 2013, and many siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, July 10, 2023, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday morning 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
