Fort Kent --- Irma D. "Mrs. P." Pelletier, 89, passed away on July 4, 2019 at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born on March 2, 1930, daughter of the late Philias and Malvina Philibert of Edmundston, N.B. Irma was known for her love of bingo and playing cards as well as being an avid dancer. She enjoyed every minute of the 30 years she worked as a Janitor for S.A.D. 27. She considered the school as her second home. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club in Fort Kent and was always volunteering for the community in different ways. Irma is survived by her two sons, Michael L. Pelletier and his wife Karen of Presque Isle, and Dave J. Pelletier and his wife Linda of Fort Kent; four grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hermel Philibert and his wife Agathe of Edmundston, N.B.; along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lucien Pelletier in 1994; one daughter Ginette Boucher in 1996; and two brothers, Doris and Kenneth Philibert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. In keeping with Irma's wishes there will be no calling hours. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions in Irma's memory may be made to the Crosswinds Activity Fund, 40 Village Road, Fort Kent, ME 04743.
