Wallagrass---Irma Fournier Desjardins, 84, went home to God surrounded by her loving family on December 27, 2017 at a Fort Kent health care facility.  She was born in Wallagrass on October 13, 1933, the last of 10 children of Frank and Flavie (Labbe) Fournier.  An avid quilter and crafter, she was a chartered member of the Northern Neighbors Quilters of Fort Kent, which was a local chapter of the Maine State Guild.  She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.  Ti Ma as her family and friends knew her, was an amazing cook and was always able to make something out of nothing.  After raising her family, she went to work as a cook at the Wallagrass Elementary School for twenty-five years.  She is survived by her husband of sixty six years, Norman Desjardins of Wallagrass; one son, Bruce Desjardins and his wife Gail of Wallagrass; four daughters, Karen Cyr and her husband Gerald of Madawaska, Debbie Desjardins of Greenville, Claire Voisine and her husband Ernest of Bristol, CT, Kim Desjardins and her wife Julie of Westbrook; six grandchildren, Betsy Palmisano, Kelly Paradis, Keith Cyr, Chad, Troy, and Cory Desjardins; six great grandchildren, Samantha and Connor Paradis, Adam and Mattie Cyr, Jemma and Haley Desjardins; one sister, Laurette Saucier of Southington, CT; one brother, Leonard  "Babe" Fournier of Wallagrass; many nieces and nephews.  Irma was predeceased by three sisters, Rella Daigle, Eulalie Landry, and Bernadette Berube; four brothers, Aldo, Lucien, Roland, and Claude Fournier.  A mass of christian burial will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the St. Louis Catholic Church.  Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 9am-10:45am on Tuesday before the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irma's memory may be made to the Forest Hill Activities Fund, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent, ME 04743 or the American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
