Weyeneth

St. David--- Ivor Weyeneth, 82, passed away November 1, 2023. He was born November 22, 1940, in England, a son of the late Dora (Weyeneth) Soucy and his stepfather Leonide Soucy.
He last worked with Michaud Burial Vault Company for about seven years, and previously worked almost 50 years as a bread salesman and delivery driver with former LePage Bakeries, Presque Isle, and Country Kitchen. Ivor was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Madawaska, a former member of the Lion's Club, and a longtime member of the Madawaska ATV and Snowmobile Clubs. He was an avid hunter and was always able to get his buck every year. When the season wasn't in, he could be found fishing at his camp on Square Lake, where he, his family, and friends made countless memories. Ivor was well known for his camp cooking and enjoyed sharing meals, stories, playing cards, and poker.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Corinne (Belanger) Weyeneth of St. David; four children, Danielle Weyeneth of Westbrook, Diane Dow and her husband Dave of Limington, Bob Weyeneth and his wife Patty of Fort Kent, and Dave Weyeneth of St. Agatha; siblings, Odette Dubois and Aurelle Soucy; seven grandchildren, Thomas, Robyn, Evan, Adam, Dylan, Alexis, and Arthur; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ivor was predeceased by his siblings "Tooky" Soucy and Claude Soucy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at St. David Church, St. David. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday 6 – 8:00 PM and Thursday morning 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
