IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacqueline
Chasse
February 22, 1956 – December 29, 2023
Madawaska--- Jacqueline Chasse, 67, peacefully entered into Eternal Life December 29, 2023, following a long illness, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born February 22, 1956, in Edmundston, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Leon "Reed" and Verna Cyr and raised and worked in Madawaska. She was a life member of the American Legon Auxiliary and past president. Jackie worked many years at the former Kmart in Madawaska, in the food service areas. One of Jackie's favorite places was sitting on her porch and watching the beautiful seasons pass by. Her home was the center of many family and friend gatherings, and they would spend hours joking late into the evenings. She is survived by two sons, Jason Chasse and his wife Paula of Fort Kent and Wayne Chasse and his companion Megan Bragdon of Belgrade; a brother, Richard Cyr of Madawaska; sisters, Diane Charette, Lyne Hebert and her husband Steve all of Madawaska, Ann Bagley and her husband Michael of New Gloucester, and Lise Couturier of Waterville; five grandchildren, Amber, Cole, Holly, Keegan, and Audrey; four great grandchildren, Henry, Julia, Isaac, and Lucie; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her husband, Montfort Chasse in 2020, and four brothers, Larry, Michael, Roger and Allan Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Relatives and friends may greet the family Friday morning 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 – 10th Ave., Madawaska. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery.
