Van Buren--- Jacqueline C. Sirois, 85, died at peace with this world on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at a Van Buren healthcare facility, following a several-year, courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Van Buren on April 9, 1930, the daughter of the late Philias and Eva (Ouellette) Charest. She married Emilien Sirois on September 6, 1949 and made a home in Keegan, where they raised a family of six children. We will always remember her for a warm smile, a quick wit, a lifelong passion for playing cards, and a deep and enduring love for her family and friends. She is survived by: her children, twin daughters Catherine St. Pierre and her husband Gerald of Van Buren and Robertine Rockwell, and daughter Joan Sirois, all of Van Buren; 2 sons, Danny Sirois and his wife Ginette of St. Leonard, NB, Canada, and Kenneth Sirois and his wife Joan of Keegan; three sisters, Yolande Thibodeau of Van Buren, Gisele Marquis of Nevada and Irma Labbe of Connecticut ; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents Jackie was predeceased by her husband, Emilien Sirois, and their eldest daughter, Linda Cormier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. There will be no visiting hours.
