Obituary

Madawaska---James T. Archambault, 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Madawaska on June 19, 2013. He was born in Madawaska on July 27, 1943, son of the late Paul and Corinne (Thibodeau) Archambault. After high school, Jim graduated from the University of Orono with a degree in chemical engineering. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served in the Vietnam War in the 3D Battalion 22D Infantry, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 147, of Madawaska. Jim enjoyed many outdoor activities and all sports. He was a loving and generous man, who would always put others first. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Louise (Cloutier) Archambault of Madawaska; two sons, Brian Archambault and his wife Christian of Surprise, AZ, Nathan Archambault of Madawaska; one grand-daughter, Ava Archambault of Surprise, AZ; three brothers, Paul and his wife Elaine of Brunswick, John and his wife Gwendolyn of Brewer, Peter Archambault of Kedgwick, New Brunswick; two nieces and four nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, June 24 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 10am until 10:45am. Interment will be held immediately following the service in the parish cemetery.
