Obituary

 THOMASTON, CT, AND WALLAGRASS    -   James Michaud, 72, died unexpectedly at his place of residence in Wallagrass on July 8, 2018. He was born in Eagle Lake, on December 24, 1945, the son of Ullyses and Yvonne (Belanger) Michaud.  James served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated his business, Superior Steel Erectors, Inc. for 35 years. He was an avid outdoors man, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time in his gardens planting vegetables and flowers.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Linda (Boucher) Michaud of Wallagrass; two sons, Jason Michaud of Thomaston, Conn., and Jay St. Peter of Fort Kent; one daughter, Chantel and her husband, Jose Rivera, of Boca Raton, FL; three grandchildren, Rebecca St. Peter, London James Rivera, and Beya Rivera; as well as two sisters, Gladys Gagnon and Dorothy Bouchard, and one brother, Ullyses Michaud, and his best friend and furry companion, "Ruger." In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Claudette and Bernice. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Friends may call on Friday, July 13, 2018, from 8 to 9:45 a.m. at the Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be at a later date in the Caribou VA Cemetery.
