Madawaska---James Vaillancourt, 80, passed away on October 30, 2023, at a Madawaska health care facility.  He was born in Madawaska on April 21, 1943, son of the late Patrick and Rose Vaillancourt.  James loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and listening to country music.  He is survived by one son, Jesse J. Vaillancourt and his companion Tracy Beaulieu of Madawaska; one grandson, J.J. Vaillancourt of Madawaska; one sister, Nancy Raymond and her husband Lawrence of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile Vaillancourt; two siblings, Jerry and Kate.  In keeping with James' wishes, there will be no services.
