Fort Kent—Janet J. Plourde, 86, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born on October 23, 1935, daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn (Pinette) Plourde. She graduated high school in 1954, then got her Bachelor of Science degree in 1963 at the Fort Kent State teacher college. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Bill Desiderio (Jean) of New Jersey, Mrs. Loraine Hoffman of California, Mrs. Herman Desjardins (Doretta) of Fort Kent, Mrs. Roland Theriault (Doris) of Virginia. One sister in-law, Christy Plourde of Fort Kent; along with many nieces and nephews. Janet is predeceased by one brother, Clarence Plourde who passed in 1994. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, 10am at St. Louis church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
