Allagash --- Janice Ann Gardner, 65, passed away on August 17, 2018. She was born on July 13, 1953 to Chester and Hope A. McBreairty of Allagash. Janice worked at her family business, McBreairty's Service for many years. She was also an EMT for Allagash and worked for the USPS as a rural carrier. She will be remembered for her extraordinary kindness that touched everyone she met. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether it was patching holes in stuffed animals or sewing tears in cloths or just sitting and visiting with a cup of coffee.  She would always leave behind little "Smiley faces" on pieces of paper and always told Emma and Lydia "Love you more." She will be with us through stories that will be told with laughter because they are many. She is survived by her daughter Josie and her husband Louie Pelletier III; two granddaughters, Emma and Lydia Pelletier, all of Allagash; one step-son Earnie Gardner of New York; one Sister, Sherry Newman and her husband Danny of Florida; two nieces, Heather Roark and her husband Denis of Florida, and Shelly Jo McBreairty and her companion John of Connecticut; two nephews, Ronnie Pelletier and his companion Vicki of Lincoln, and Stewart McBrearity of St. Francis; four great nieces, Rebakah, Sarah, Arrabella and Mandolyne; and one great-great niece, Shelbee. Janice was predeceased by her parents, her husband Elbert Gardner, two sisters, Joan McBreairty and Myra Pelletier, and one brother, Chester Jr.  In keeping with Janice's wishes there will be no services held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lajoie-Daigle funeral home in Fort Kent. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janice's memory may be made out to a charity of one's choice.
