Obituary

Van Buren--- Jeanne V. Corriveau, 77, peacefully entered into Eternal Life on September 16, 2026, at a Caribou hospital, following a brief illness. She was born August 16, 1949, in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Paul and Simone (Martin) St. Pierre.

Jeanne last worked at the former Yacht Club for many years where she entertained visiting patrons with her wit. Previously she worked at former Aroostook Shoe, Presque Isle, for several years. Jeanne loved visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren, who always held a special place in her heart. She loved family cookouts and gatherings and was usually the center of attention or make quick runs up to Long Lake to visit her son.

She is survived by one son, Kevin St. Pierre and his wife Wanda, of Van Buren; step children, Gail Culver and her husband Ricky of Connecticut, Kim Corriveau of Florida, and Robert Corriveau of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Chris Levasseur and his husband Ali, and Heather Levasseur; two step grandchildren, Derek and Christine; three great granddaughters, Gabbie, Hailey and Emily; three siblings, Kenneth St. Pierre and his wife Fran of Connecticut, Marie Beaulieu of Van Buren, and Harold St. Pierre of Van Buren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Corriveau, her longtime companion, Roland Deschenes, a stepson, Michael Corriveau, and siblings, Jeannine Ouellette, Leo James St. Pierre, and infant brothers, Robert and Donald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 9:30 – 10:15 AM at the church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
