St. David---Jeanne B. Cyr, 84, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was born in St. Agatha, Maine on March 29, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph Bosse and Deline (Chasse) Bosse. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Conrad Cyr of St. David; four children, Karen and her husband Jacques Gagnon of Nashua, New Hampshire, Gary Cyr and his wife Michelle of Feasterville, Pennsylvania, Lisa and her husband Michael Gallant of Culpeper, Virginia, and Kim and her husband Matthew Cyr of Saco; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Jeanne had an amazing gift of hospitality and was always gracious in opening up her home to family visitors from out of town, even perfect strangers who needed a meal. She loved her family dearly and frequently connected with her grandkids who all lived out of town. She worked for the U.S. Post Office and in her last working years, as Postmaster in Upper Frenchville. Jeanne was a talented seamstress and branched out into quilt making, gifting many of her beautiful quilts to her children and grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed snowmobiling with friends and family for many years. Besides her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her siblings, Armand (Dorothy) Bosse of Madawaska, Blanche (Claude) Collin of St. Agatha, Lawrence (Hilda) Bosse of Caribou, Sr. Marthe Bosse of Ottawa, Ontario, Valere (Rita) Bosse of New Britain, CT, Wallace (Kathy) Bosse of Bristol, CT, Terry (Robert) Bushway of Plainville, CT, Louis (Rina) Bosse of New Britain, CT, Joan (David) Oliveira of Plainville, CT, and Herve (Coreen) Bosse of Plainville, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 4, at the St. David Church. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday evening, April 3 from 6-8pm at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 10th Ave., Madawaska. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's name may be sent to: Ridgewood Estates Activity Fund, 480 Ridgeview Avenue, Madawaska, Maine 04756.
