Obituary

Madawaska/St. David---Jeanne D'Arc Lavertu, 68, passed away on January 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born on June 1, 1943, the daughter of Levite and Regina Cyr. Jeanne was a communicant of St. David Church, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by two sons, Carl Lavertu and his wife Sandra of Frenchville, and Scott Lavertu and his wife Cara of Ft. Carson, Colorado; two very special grand-daughters, Emily and Sarah Lavertu of Frenchville; one brother, Conrad Cyr and his wife Jeanne of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Wilmer Lavertu in 2002 and by four brothers, Fernand, Gerald, Robert, and Ralph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, January 25 at the St. David Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 8:30am until time of service on Wednesday. Interment in the parish cemetery will be held in the spring.
