IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanne (Cyr)
Pratt
February 24, 1943 – October 6, 2024
Madawaska--- Jeanne Pratt, 81, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024. She was born on February 24, 1943 in Madawaska, a daughter of the late Vincent and Irene (Hebert) Cyr.
Jeanne was a kind and gentle person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. When she was not giving rides to people or performing other acts of kindness, she could be seen providing care and comfort for the sick. Her compassion and love were always accompanied with her prayers.
Jeanne loved life and enjoyed going out with family and friends, traveling and playing cards. She lived by the motto "Do what you can today because you never know what tomorrow will bring." Her faith sustained her through trials and lived by the Scripture passage 4 Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through Him who strengthens me."
Jeanne held various retail jobs and loved working at Sears Roebuck & Co., but her favorite job was when she and her husband managed the former Montgomery Ward. Jeanne was a long-time member of the Daughters of Isabella and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, Ernest Pratt in 2017, three sisters, Verna Lausier, her twin Jeannine Cyr, Jackie Johnson, and one brother, Jean Paul Cyr.
Jeanne is survived by three siblings, Fernand Cyr of Madawaska, Fernande Bush of Augusta, and Martha Dufour and her husband Francis of Madawaska; a stepdaughter, Gail Pratt, of Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
