Obituary

St. Francis --- Jeanette M. Martin, 93 passed away on November 05, 2017 at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in St. Francis on December 14, 1923 of the late Belone and Agnes (Jandreau) Harvey. She was known for her love of baking, especially making whoopie pies for her family. She is survived by five children, Judy and her husband Dale Taggett of St. Francis, Diane Gaudreau and her husband Michael of Fort Kent, Paul and his wife Joyce Martin of St. John, Jeanita and her husband Ronnie Oakes of Bristol, CT, Albert and Michele Martin of Fort Kent; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Troy, Tammy, Shannon, Martin, Kelley, Ryan, Earl, and Lacey; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter Cora Young Pelletier.  She is predeceased by her husband Gerard Martin; one grandson Colby Martin; four sisters; and one brother. The Martin family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Forest Hill Manor for their compassionate and loving care for their mother. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the St. Charles Church in St. Francis. Visitation will be held from 8:30am – 10am Friday, November 10, 2017 At Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home in Fort Kent.  Burial will immediately follow the service at the parish cemetery.
